If our name sounds familiar, it should. Nestled quietly off Main Street USA in Disneyland is the Hotel Marceline, a shout out to Walt Disney's roots here in Marceline, Missouri.
Growing up in the small town of Marceline, Missouri shaped the entire life of Walt Disney. When Walt laid out the plans for the original Main Street USA in Disneyland, he was capturing the fond memories of growing up in a small town.
From a railroad station to a main street lined with turn-of-the-century shops, Walt was a man of vision, with a deep understanding that the wholesome roots of his own upbringing would resonate with his theme park guests. In Disneyland, hundreds of thousands of guests have seen the Hotel Marceline on Main Street USA.
In early 2020, our hotel - formerly the Lamplighter Motel - was purchased by a new owner, one as Disney-inspired as perhaps you are. Knowing that our location is only a few blocks from the original Main Street USA, the magical transformation began. Our grand and miraculous renovations continue to this day.
In the time since, our Disney-inspired Rooms allow our guests to experience the magic of Disney without the crowds that come with a trip to Florida or California. Our rooms are funished with decor directly from the Walt Disney World Resorts. True to its roots, Marceline retains its small-town charm and will forever hold a sacred place in history as the inspiration for the magic of Disney.
"Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious … and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." ~ Walt Disney
